Frequently asked questions
Should I start my run on the iPhone or the Apple Watch?
Either works — just know which device does the tracking:
- Start on the iPhone: the run is tracked with your iPhone's GPS and the Apple Watch acts as a live display (start, pause and end are all controlled from the iPhone). When you finish, the run is saved to your VibePace history and to Apple Health as an Outdoor Run.
- Start on the Apple Watch: the run is tracked with the watch's own GPS and recorded to Apple Fitness, with the controls on your wrist.
Why isn't my pace showing on the watch?
VibePace needs a GPS fix. Head outdoors and wait a few seconds for the signal indicator to turn green. Indoors, GPS may be unavailable. If you started the run on your iPhone, the watch mirrors the iPhone's pace — keep the iPhone nearby with VibePace running.
Can I run VibePace and Apple's Workout app at the same time?
Yes — start the run from VibePace on your iPhone. VibePace then paces off your iPhone's GPS while your Apple Watch is free to record the activity with Apple's own Workout app. Just keep your iPhone nearby with VibePace open.
If you instead start the run on the watch, watchOS only allows one workout at a time, so VibePace will ask to confirm because it will end any Apple Workout already in progress.
My runs aren't syncing between the phone and web.
Make sure you're signed in with the same account (Apple or Google) on both, and that you have a connection. Runs recorded offline sync automatically once you're back online.
How do I delete my account and data?
Email owen@strive4.uk from your account address and we'll remove your account and all associated run data.
