Privacy Policy

Effective 3 October 2026

In short: WeightsClub doesn't collect your data. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your workouts and settings stay on your iPhone. I never receive them.

What the app stores, and where

WeightsClub stores the people you train with (their names and, optionally, a WhatsApp number you type in), your exercise library, workouts, sets, templates and settings. All of it is kept on your iPhone only. There is no WeightsClub server and no account, I never receive a copy of this data, and the app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.

The app doesn't use iCloud or any other sync service. Like other app data, it may be included in your own iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you've turned those on in iOS. That is controlled by Apple and you, not by WeightsClub.

People you add

Names (and optional phone numbers) of people you train with are stored the same way as everything else, on your iPhone. WeightsClub never contacts those people and never uploads their details anywhere. A phone number is only used to open a WhatsApp chat when you tap the button for that person.

Sending and receiving workouts

WeightsClub can build a .weightsclub file or a PDF of someone's results. Nothing is sent automatically. The file is handed to the iOS share sheet and goes only where you choose to send it (WhatsApp, Messages, AirDrop, Files and so on), under that service's own privacy terms. A file contains only that one person's sets and the exercises they used. If someone sends you a file, WeightsClub reads it on your device and merges it into your data. You can also share a file of the exercises you've added and the form-video links you've kept; that file holds no workouts, weights or people.

Form-guide videos (YouTube)

The exercise library lets you search for a form video and attach it to an exercise. This opens YouTube's mobile website inside the app, and when you paste a video link the app asks YouTube for the video's title. Those requests go to YouTube (Google), which can see your IP address and what you look at, as it would in any browser, and which is governed by Google's privacy policy. WeightsClub doesn't send YouTube any of your workout data and only saves the link and title of a video you choose to keep. This is optional, and the rest of the app makes no network requests of its own.

Permissions

WeightsClub doesn't ask for access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health data or notifications. Timer beeps and spoken cues play through the speaker, and the app asks iOS to keep the screen awake during a workout.

Your choices

Children

WeightsClub doesn't collect personal information from anyone, children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
