about you: almost nothing.

Your Arctic Spas API key

Stored only in this iPhone’s keychain. It reaches your Apple Watch over WatchConnectivity — a direct, on-device channel with no network hop — so the Watch never has to ask for it separately. Every request it’s used for goes to Arctic Spas’ own servers at api.myarcticspa.com, and nowhere else. It is never logged, never included in a crash report, and never sent to me.

Your myarcticspa.com sign-in

Only if you use Power management, Peak schedule or Energy used — features Arctic doesn’t expose through the API, so the app has to sign in to the website on your behalf. Your username and password are stored in the same on-device keychain and sent only to myarcticspa.com over HTTPS, to authenticate as you would in a browser.

Temperature and chemistry history

Recorded and kept only on your own devices, in a local App Group container shared between the app, its widgets and the Watch — never uploaded anywhere, because there is nowhere in this app’s design for it to go. Settings → Export history as CSV puts a copy anywhere you choose; deleting the app deletes the rest.

What I, the developer, receive

Nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, and no third-party library of any kind built into this app — it has zero external dependencies, which you're welcome to verify yourself. I don’t get a copy of your key, your credentials, your readings, or even the fact that you opened the app.

Other servers this app talks to

None, besides Arctic Spas’ own — api.myarcticspa.com and myarcticspa.com. Data you send there is subject to Arctic Spas’ own policies, not this one; this app is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Children

MySpaSimple is a utility for controlling a hot tub. It isn’t directed at children and isn’t knowingly used to collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If what this app collects or where it goes ever changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves.
