The short version

CoachMeSimple does not collect your data, because CoachMeSimple has nowhere to send it. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything the app knows about you stays on your iPhone.

What the app reads

With your permission, CoachMeSimple reads the following from Apple Health:

It uses these to estimate how fast you currently are and to decide how hard your next training session should be. It never writes anything to Apple Health.

Where that data goes

Nowhere. It is stored in the app's own database on your device, protected by iOS file encryption, and is deleted when you delete the app or tap Settings → Start over.

CoachMeSimple makes no network requests. It has no analytics, no crash reporting that transmits, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party SDKs. It works with no network connection at all.

Coaching notes

The written coaching notes are generated on your device by Apple's Foundation Models framework. Your training data is not sent to Apple, to us, or to anyone else in order to produce them.

Apple Watch

When you send a session to your Apple Watch, it is scheduled through Apple's WorkoutKit and stays between your iPhone and your own Watch. Nothing about it reaches us.

iCloud

CoachMeSimple does not currently sync anything to iCloud. If a future version syncs your goal and training preferences, it will use your own private iCloud database, which we cannot read, and your running data will still never leave your device.

Children

CoachMeSimple is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Not medical advice

CoachMeSimple is a training tool. It does not diagnose or treat anything, and its use of resting heart rate and heart rate variability is limited to deciding how hard a training session should be. If something feels wrong, see a doctor rather than an app.
