Frequently asked questions
It says "not enough running yet".
CoachMeSimple needs at least eight runs across six weeks, totalling 40 km, before it will estimate a race time. Below that it would be guessing, so it refuses rather than making something up. Keep running and it will unlock on its own.
My predictions look slow.
CoachMeSimple estimates your fitness from your own hardest efforts, and it can only see efforts that make up a whole workout. If you have never raced and never run a standalone time trial, it has nothing to fit and will be conservative. A hard 5 K does the job nicely.
The prescribed pace feels far too easy.
That is often the point — most people run their easy days too hard. But check the load ratio on the Next run screen: if the app has flagged you amber or red it is deliberately holding intensity back, and the "why this isn't the textbook session" panel will name the reason. If you are consistently green and still want more work, raise Settings → Your week → How hard do you want this?
I finished a run and the app hasn't noticed.
Pull down on the Next run or Progress screen to check Apple Health again. The app also looks when you bring it to the foreground, and in the background as workouts arrive. A run recorded on your Watch can take a minute or two to reach Health in the first place.
It gave me a rest day and I want to run.
Run. The app absorbs it and adjusts. Nothing is broken by disagreeing with it.
Why is it easing off when I feel fine?
Tap the session — the "why this isn't the textbook session" panel names the reason. It is usually accumulated load, a scheduled down week, or your resting heart rate sitting above its own baseline. Every number behind that decision is explained in Settings → What the numbers mean.
Can I make a session longer or faster?
Yes — the "Make it yours" dial on the Next run screen changes length, pace and day, and tells you what each change costs in training load before you commit. The one thing it will not do is back extra work on top of a red flag.
Nothing arrives on my Apple Watch.
Sending needs a paired Apple Watch and permission to schedule workouts — the first time you tap Send to Apple Watch, accept the prompt. If you dismissed it, turn scheduling back on in the Watch app on your iPhone under CoachMeSimple. Sessions appear in the Workout app on the day they are scheduled for. The "On your Watch" list under the button reads back what is actually there, and you can remove anything you sent by mistake.
How do I delete my data?
Tap Settings → Start over, or delete the app. Both remove everything CoachMeSimple holds. Nothing is removed from Apple Health, because CoachMeSimple never writes to it — and there is no account or server copy to delete, because there is no account or server.
